During Jo’s many years as an executive in the fashion industry, culminating in five years as head of production for a major high street clothing supplier, she frequently travelled abroad and indulged her “other” love of food. Having come from a family who frequently entertained on a large scale, she learnt her cooking skills at a very young age. Jo has spent many years since then catering for, and managing friends’ and family’s large events. As a combined result of her professional career and her “hobby” she is now particularly well-versed in event management, design and international cuisine. From 2009, Jo has worked part-time under the head chef of the game and wild food restaurant “The Pot Kiln” in Yattendon, Berkshire, which is owned and run by celebrity chef Mike Robinson. With a passion for learning new techniques and skills, her time here has inspired her to create her own style and flavours which she translates into her own business as a private chef. In 2012, Jo launched a Supper Club with her friend and business partner, Mary. Together they have enjoyed its growth and popularity. They are both passionate about using local and seasonal produce and are great friends with many of their local suppliers. They combine Jo’s cooking skills with Mary’s love of Soul music and together they aim to create a welcoming, relaxed and fun evening for their guests.
